Nickel Alloy 625 Valve Ball High Precision UNS N06625 Ball Valve
Parts
Composition:
Nickel Alloy 625, recognized as UNS N06625, is a
corrosion-resistant nickel-chromium-molybdenum-niobium alloy. The
combination of nickel and chromium provides excellent resistance to
oxidizing environments, while the molybdenum and niobium content
imparts strength and resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion.
Key Properties:
- Corrosion Resistance: Offers outstanding immunity to chloride pitting and crevice
corrosion.
- Temperature Resilience: Maintains high strength and toughness from cryogenic temperatures
up to 980℃ (1800℉).
- Oxidation Resistance: Functional in severe thermal cycling conditions due to its
excellent resistance to oxidation.
- Strength: Has good fatigue strength and stress-corrosion cracking resistance
to chloride ions.
Applications of Valve Balls:
The alloy’s exceptional toughness and durability at high
temperatures make it a preferred material for valve balls used in:
- Chemical processing
- Aerospace components
- Marine engineering
- Oil and gas extraction equipment
- Pollution control equipment
Physical Characteristics:
Inconel 625 is non-magnetic, exhibits excellent mechanical
properties, and has a high degree of formability. The surface
finish of valve balls made from this alloy is smooth, which
provides reliable sealing and reduces torque requirements.
Valve Ball Specifications:
Valve balls made from Nickel Alloy 625 are produced to meet various
industry standards, such as ASTM, API, and NACE. They can be
supplied in a range of diameters suitable for different sizes of
valves, with options for different types of stem connections.
Manufacturing and Processing:
Inconel 625 valve balls are typically manufactured using precision
machining and can be enhanced through specialty coatings or
treatments, such as chrome plating, to further improve wear and
corrosion resistance.
Quality Assurance:
Valve balls in this alloy are produced under strict quality control
processes, and DINGSCO often supply them with necessary
certifications and test reports to demonstrate compliance with
industry standards and customer specifications.
